Seven weeks after the nuclear disaster at Fukushima Daichi, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chairman, Gregory Jaczko made a rare public speech and entertained questions from nuclear activists and the media at the invitation of Public Citizen. This is the video of that event.
The talk centered around NRC’s response to the continuing nuclear crisis in Japan, as well as the public’s renewed safety concerns about America’s fleet of aging nuclear power plants, 23 of which share the same General Electric design as the ones at Fukushima.
